By objectively observing thoughts/feelings of lack, limitation, inadequacy, guilt, not-enoughness, and non-acceptance, you allow for these feelings to be transmuted. Nothing more is required from you but your awareness of these thoughts/feelings, and your acceptance of them. What you resist, persists.
In other words, stop judging yourself! There’s feeling the way you do, and then there’s (unnecessarily) feeling worse because of thinking that there’s something wrong with you for feeling the way you do. There isn’t, and could not be anything wrong with you or how you feel. You are of divine perfection and everything you are experiencing is in association with your highest good.
The experience of these shadows are one with the gifts that emerge from them. Hear that again. The gift emerges from the shadow. The challenges, the emotions, the discomfort, the contrast, it ALL serves you. You will always and forever come out brighter and with greater understanding.
But also know that it’s on you to be a participant in your own growth via the right intention. You are innately deserving of a brighter, more vibrant, and joyous experience, but only you can allow yourself this. The main message here is that no amount of beating up on yourself is going to help you with this, more effective is the practice of soft compassion for yourself, especially during the times that feel difficult.
You must be easy on yourself while still holding yourself to a high standard. Don’t let yourself settle into less than you could be, and forgive yourself when/if you perceive than have.
Allow for a greater expression of you to naturally emerge from the only space that it can; a space of self-love and acceptance.
